Vintage 1920s Pierrot Hand Mirror

A beautifully theatrical vintage hand mirror, dating to the 1920s, with a charming Pierrot figure forming the handle and climbing around the mirror frame. The ornate metal surround features raised Art Deco-era detailing, including a wistful Pierrot, floral flourishes, and a scalloped bevelled mirror at the center.

The mirror has a wonderfully romantic, slightly melancholic mood, evocative of old cabaret dressing rooms, powder tables, silent film glamour, and the poetic world of Pierrot and Columbine. The aged gilt-toned metal has a soft patina, giving it an elegant timeworn character.
