This handcrafted keepsake box is a unique collector’s item celebrating Ernest Hemingway’s enduring connection to the Hôtel Ritz Paris and his passion for trout fishing.
.Curated alongside a vintage reel, a bottle of Ricard pastis, and ephemera including a photo of Hemingway with Charles Ritz, who gifted him his favourite flies. A rare artifact of literary and angling legend.
They were then passed to Jack Hemingway, who left them to his close friend, fellow angler and Parisian collector Pierre Affre (pictured) in 1995. In addition to the flies, proof of their historical journey are documented in a letter written to Affre by Jack Hemingway in October of 1995.
