Ulysses Butterfly Collector's Case

Papilio ulysses, the Ulysses butterfly, is a large swallowtail butterfly, in the subgenus Achillides, of Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

The case was part of an travelling entomology collection that was exhibited at Natural History museums around the world. It was purchased by a notable French curiosities collector at auction in Paris in 2016.
